1. What cookies are

This policy explains how Watt&Link uses cookies and similar technologies on the public pages of www.wattandlink.com. Cookies are small files or values stored by the browser to remember preferences, keep technical information, or, if the user accepts, help us understand aggregated use of the public website.

2. Types of cookies we use

• Functional cookies:
  These are necessary to remember basic browsing preferences, such as the selected language. These cookies are not used to create commercial profiles.
• First-party analytics cookies:
  These are only activated if the user accepts them. They help us record public visits in a first-party and pseudonymized way to understand which pages work better, which language is used, and how traffic arrives.
• Third-party cookies:
  Watt&Link public pages do not activate third-party cookies for marketing analytics without informing the user and, where applicable, obtaining consent.

3. Main cookies

• wl_marketing_locale
  Functional cookie. Remembers the preferred public-page language. Approximate duration: 13 months.
• wl_marketing_analytics
  Preference cookie. Remembers whether the user accepted or rejected first-party marketing analytics. Approximate duration: 13 months.
• wl_visitor_id
  First-party analytics cookie. Creates an anonymous visitor identifier only when the user accepts analytics. It does not contain name, email address, or account data. Approximate duration: 13 months. Campaign context is kept in sessionStorage only with consent, within the tab until the UTC day changes. It is discarded when consent is revoked. It contains no form data.

4. Data associated with public analytics

When the user accepts analytics, Watt&Link may record public-page visits with an anonymous identifier, visited route, language, referrer, UTM parameters, approximate country/region/city through GeoLite2, hashed IP, and technical browser, operating system, and device-type information. This data is used to measure the public audience and improve the website. With this consent we also record demo clicks, form starts, requests saved on the server, plan selections, checkout loading and video playback. Events contain no form data and do not confirm payment or email delivery.

5. How to manage consent

The user can accept or reject analytics from the cookie banner. They can also reopen preferences from the footer link. Rejecting analytics does not prevent access to Watt&Link public pages.

6. Retention

Public marketing visit and event records are retained for 395 days and then deleted by periodic cleanup. Revoking consent stops new records; it does not retroactively erase records already processed.

7. Changes to this policy

Watt&Link may update this policy to reflect technical, legal, or public website configuration changes. The current version will be available on this page.
